Mayfield Environmental Engineering, doing business as Mayfield Environmental Solutions, is a Southern California-based General Engineering contractor with a focus on hazardous waste remediation, stormwater management, contaminated brownfield maintenance, and various environmental services. With decades of experience in both public works and private developments, we offer our expertise for complex projects, including major Superfund/CRCLA sites. Our services are tailored to meet the needs of municipalities, private companies, and federal or tribal projects.
As a certified Minority-Owned Business (MBE), Disadvantaged Business (MBE), and Small Business-Public Works (SBPW), we take pride in being a trusted partner for both local governments and high-risk environments. We have been a staple in Southern California's environmental engineering landscape since 1985, previously operating under the name Mayfield Enterprises. Over two generations of project management experience have allowed us to navigate complex, high-profile projects with ease and professionalism.
Our work has included projects with the City of Cerritos, Norwalk, Carson, Santa Fe Springs, and others. We’ve also handled hazardous environments such as Exide Superfund, Ascon Superfund, Cal Compact Landfill, BKK Landfill, and Montrose Chemical (DDT) Superfund, to name just a few. We specialize in a wide range of services, from contaminated soil removal and BMP installations to homeless encampment removals, weed abatement, and hazardous material remediation. Additionally, we handle environmental and stormwater compliance, gas vapor monitoring, erosion protection, asbestos, waste-water pumping, dewatering, and hazwoper-certified labor.
Mayfield Environmental Solutions is a family-owned business, with leadership from CEO James Mayfield, who holds several professional certifications including QSD, QSP, QISP, CPESC, and CISEC. Our main yard is located in the City of Carson, and we are registered for Public Works in California, CalTRANS, and both Federal and Tribal projects. We bring our deep knowledge and commitment to excellence to each project, ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality service and the best possible outcomes.
