- পিরামিড কি? এটি প্রাচীন বিশ্বের অন্যতম বিস্ময়কর স্থাপত্যকর্ম, যা সাধারণত সমাধি বা স্মৃতিস্তম্ভ হিসেবে নির্মিত হয়। প্রাচীন মিশরে পিরামিডগুলো রাজাদের, বিশেষ করে ফেরাউনদের সমাধি হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হতো। এগুলো পাথরের বিশাল ব্লক দিয়ে তৈরি, এবং এর মধ্যে সবচেয়ে বিখ্যাত হলো গিজার গ্রেট পিরামিড, যা এখনও বিশ্ব ঐতিহ্যের অন্যতম নিদর্শন। মিশর ছাড়াও মেক্সিকো ও অন্যান্য প্রাচীন সভ্যতায় পিরামিড পাওয়া যায়। পিরামিডের নির্মাণ প্রক্রিয়া আজও গবেষণার বিষয়, কারণ তখনকার প্রযুক্তির সীমাবদ্ধতা সত্ত্বেও কীভাবে এত বিশাল কাঠামো নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে, তা রহস্যজনক। আধুনিক স্থাপত্যেও পিরামিড আকৃতির অনেক ভবন তৈরি করা হয়। পিরামিড শুধু একটি স্থাপত্য নয়, বরং এটি প্রাচীন সভ্যতার উন্নত প্রযুক্তি ও ধর্মীয় বিশ্বাসের প্রতীক। তাই যারা জানতে চান পিরামিড কি, তাদের বোঝা উচিত এটি ইতিহাস ও স্থাপত্যবিদ্যার এক অমূল্য নিদর্শন।
