More Information on the Pre Patch Event of TBC

Back when The Burning Crusade was officially released in 2007, there was a little pre-patch event for it that allowed players to get a little taste of what’s to come in the bigger, final update. This pre-patch event was pretty basic in all honesty, but it was still something a little different than usual and offered some great loot depending on what players did. Today, we’re going to be taking a detailed look at said event, along with exactly what the officially announced pre-patch event for TBC Classic might offer to players.

A Summary of the Original TBC Pre Patch Event

As already mentioned, while it was something new, the pre-patch event for TBC that was released in 2007 was still pretty basic. The main adventure of the event was regarding the Dark Portal. Said portal had unexpectedly opened up, opening the doorway for demons to come and invade the world of the players. There were exactly three different demon types, Infernals, Felguards, and Succubi.

They were annoying, but nothing too difficult to handle. The real difficulty was managing to complete the needed objectives with all other players around you trying to do the same. There was also an NPC at one of the gates that offered players a quest.

Completing the demon invasion successfully provided players with some pretty average gear that wasn’t all that amazing. The Dark Portal fight also rewarded a Tabard though, which was pretty cool as it had a really neat unique animation and other perks. Lastly, there was also a boss fight that took place at Kazzak, which was pretty interesting. But this was all the stuff in the original TBC pre-patch event. We’re here to take a look at the upcoming TBC classic pre-patch event, and what it has to offer.

What to Expect from the TBC Classic Pre Patch Event?

As it is a faithful reimagining much like WoW classic, it is very safe to say that just about all the things in the original event that took place in 2007 will also be found in the upcoming TBC Classic pre-patch event. But that isn’t all, as there are some added features too.

While we don’t know for sure what these added features, we do know that it is set to release on May 18, 2021. What we do know for sure is that there’s going to be a paid cloning service that’ll allow users to clone their characters so that they can play with them in both WoW Classic and TBC Classic, which is certainly a great addition. Expectations are certainly high and Blizzard will likely satisfy.
