At first, sight, being dropped off in the middle of Alaska seems like landing on the Moon. However, the most essential point is not the severity of the situation, but the approach to it. If I had to survive in the middle of Alaska, I would try to change my perception of this place and the general situation.

Alaska is a suitable location for human beings to test their endurance skills. In this case, there is a risk of dying from cold and starvation. In the case of using the human brain, there arises the possibility to plan the actions carefully and to survive for a long time. The initial point for consideration is packing the backpacks with the most significant items. They include a flashlight, a radio that runs on batteries, a cell phone, three gallons of drinking water, a knife, and matches. They will help to conduct the most essential processes for survival: making a fire, hunting, and trying to get in touch with others.

In order to manage this situation, I would use my mind as the main tool in order to stay alive. I would definitely change my understanding of what is good and comfortable. Sleeping on the ground and that hunting as the best way to get food would become acceptable. I would definitely accept the role of the leader in this situation because I have a clear understanding of my final goal. However, it is impossible to survive without the cooperation and support of other people. In order to make sure that everyone within the group gets a voice, I would incorporate the mechanisms of voting and discussion. This would help the whole team to avoid ambiguity and uncertainty. In order to survive, everyone should focus on synergy in order to stay alive, which may be extremely hard considering that all group members are strangers.

Finally, those willing to endure this challenge should start using 100% of their brain, intuition, logic, and physical capabilities. The location is not crucial - it could be Alaska or the desert island. The most significant is believing in the future success and doing everything possible to achieve the final goal.
