Elle's mum comes from Gibraltar and also the couple loves the Spanish culture, so going back to an area that held happy memories of holidays for Elle was ideal for his or her vision of a relaxed, outdoor wedding. The couple drew on rustic Spanish details to create their day, including their modern twist.

"We desired to incorporate a traditional rustic Spanish feel into our wedding however with a modern, bohemian twist. I love bohemian and colorful décor and Nick wanted the marriage to be informal and possess a feeling of finding yourself in nature. So after some help from Pinterest, we made a beautiful theme with all of these elements combined."

Elle and Nick met at a university in Wales in 2008 and made a fun timeline of the relationship for his or her wedding website.

"In 2008 I was both carefree students at Cardiff Uni. Thanks to our mutual friend's 21st birthday party in North Wales we first met over a weekend of camping, mountain running , and potato picking. After bumping directly into each other annually later within the library, our relationship began. Ten years later we finally chose to tie the knot."

"Over these 10 years, we've lived and worked inside a variety of different places including Maidenhead, Wimbledon, and Western Australia and done plenty of traveling including 8 weeks exploring Thailand, one along with a half years in Australia and several adventurous holidays between such as Myanmar, Reunion, and Barbados. In October 2016, around the pretense of the birthday weekend away in Cornwall, Nick popped the question high up inside a candlelit treetop cabin and I said 'yes'. We were engaged for just one year and nine months." Here

"My normal clothing style is very floaty, feminine, and boho and I wanted my wedding gown to not stray too much from my style. I also wanted my dress to complement the boho, Spanish wedding theme we'd gone for."

"Originally the look was with long lace sleeves. However because it had been pretty much guaranteed to become over 30 degrees in Spain, the lovely seamstress Linda made a shorter, more floaty style sleeve. The result would be a unique and pretty dress that I am excited to put on on my big day."

"I decided to possess modern undertake dusty blue bridesmaid dresses and allow them to choose their very own outfits. We went having a fresh white, boho theme so they complemented the intense pinks, whites, and Moroccan Blue color pattern of our wedding."

As the Spanish sunshine resulted in a daytime wedding that would have been unbearably hot, the pair married within the evening giving the whole party time for you to relax and revel in their surroundings.

"I loved the fact that we'd an evening wedding which continued late into the night – due to the fact it's too hot in Spain to begin your outdoor wedding at lunchtime!. This meant we'd the whole daytime to ourselves having a yoga class, private brunch on our balcony, and pool time before we'd to start preparing."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Having a destination wedding means the focus isn't all on a single day because it's likely guests are likely to spend several days within the destination. We spread it over a long weekend by hosting a tapas welcome party your day before along with a poolside BBQ your day after. This meant we're able to make sure we properly interacted with all of our guests and it had been a more enjoyable atmosphere."
