Katie works popular and retail and Ben is incorporated in the motion graphics industry; their eye for style can be seen to see within their gorgeous color pattern of deep green, rich navy, dove grey, and white with accents of copper.
The couple first met at university in Leeds, once they lived in halls in rooms opposite one another.
"Ben proposed 2000 meters up, in the end, were skiing in Austria in March 2017. It would be a secluded little spot overlooking the most incredible look at a valley along with a moment that'll be treasured forever. Having been together for nine years, the topic of marriage and weddings had recently been discussed. So, 10 mins after getting engaged in the end we're looking at a ski lift, Ben considered me and asked 'Do you'll still want to complete tipis inside a field then?'. I said 'yes' and also the planning began."
I think Katie has nailed the current yet classic look she envisioned so perfectly in her own choice of dress. This gown is a floaty, faintly-boho style with probably the most beautiful appliqué cap sleeve detail and open back which looks wonderful within the natural, outdoor setting.
"When I used it on, I just knew it had been the right dress for me. It felt enjoyable it fitted our day perfectly, whilst making me seem like myself, but better! The flowing silk tulle skirt moved incredibly, something well suited for outdoors, and also the appliqué florals were an ideal detail. The best detail from the whole dress for me personally was outdoors back; it's such a feminine, and statement detail that felt so organic."
The emerald green bridesmaid dresses have a Bardot neckline and dipped hemline. The maid of honor, Katie's sister, wore the same gold and malachite hoop earrings, a present from Katie during the day. Here
"It works out we struck lucky using the deep green color palette being a very on-trend color last Autumn/Winter therefore we had our pick of lovely dresses."
Ben and Katie stayed together the night time before their wedding, a detail which Katie loved.
"Ben and I both stayed inside a local holiday cottage the night time before the wedding in the hope it could help us to obtain some sleep, but one of my favorite parts of the morning was getting out of bed together, using a cup of tea as though it were every other normal day, then waving him goodbye because he went to obtain ready at his mum's house. I got ready in the cottage with my loved ones and walked towards the venue. It was lovely to determine people waving because they drove past and there's nothing beats some outdoors to calm the nerves."
The couple's ceremony was held within the venue's barn, decorated especially for that occasion. Katie and Ben had previously married a couple of days before so that they could completely personalize the ceremony to possess as much meaning as they possibly can. The bride entered around the arm of her father, for an instrumental version of 'The Only Exception by Paramore.
"The band was one of the stand-outs in the day and is something which our guests still discuss. They turned the background music up loud, got everyone dancing as well as played an encore. Oasis’ 'Don't Look Back In Anger' will forever be etched in my memory because the final song from the night where our friends crowd surfed Ben and me around the barn in true rock 'n roll style! We barely left the party area all night because they played hit after hit making the evening go by in a complete flash."
"Ben and I are big indie and rock music fans and thus there were lots of acoustic tracks we're able to have chosen but, similar to the reading, we desired to make certain the lyrics suited us and also the occasion. We chose 'My Favourite Story' by Jack in Water. I'm 99% sure no one else knew the track, however, it meant we're able to have a little moment which was just shared between us two."
