- At The Mindful Map, Dave offers psychodynamic, enduring psychotherapy that employs a client-centered approach by utilizing the client’s early life memories and the utopist recollections to explain identity conflicts. The Family Systems Theory is also embedded in Dave’s practice as he examines how the family environment impacts mental health, which takes into consideration family processes and individual members. In addition, it includes philosophical approaches that endorse trauma-informed care and CBT principles, resulting in multi-faceted, quality psychological care for a person. This method requires accuracy and an ability to confront the self, which leads the clients to a comprehensive reflection of their problems. This is the reciprocal self-determination approach, as a person is able to work within his or her mental space while helping him or her develop relationships and self-esteem and put actions in accordance with his or her beliefs and ambitions. That being said, The Mindful Map shoots for redefinitions of therapy that help maximize the growth of the person’s being and mental functions.
